It has been exciting here at SHM over the past few weeks! Your generosity has helped us rescue, preserve and digitize Steve's messages from the revival that until today only existed on VHS videotape. We now have hundreds of these revival classics easily accessible on a single hard drive. It is impossible to describe how encouraging it is to watch these messages and remember all that Jesus did and is continuing to do through my husband. I can't wait to be able to share these with you soon.

This is part of the legacy that Steve left us. He will be remembered for generations to come for his burning passion for the Lord and his intense love for the lost. Our earnest prayer is that his life will continue to inspire multitudes to do the same. This makes me wonder, what kind of legacy will you and I leave? When our days here on earth are over what will we be remembered for?

Scripture gives us numerous examples of the legacy left by some infamous couples. Adam and Eve are remembered for the fall. Their legacy was tragic and one that adversely affects the entire human race. In contrast, Abraham and Sarah are remembered for their obedience and faith. "Through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." (Gen 22:18). Think about that -- all nations are blessed because of Abraham and Sarah's obedience to the Lord! What a legacy!

A favorite of mine is Noah and his wife. They left a legacy of salvation. It is interesting that Noah's wife isn't often talked about much. We don't even know her name. The Bible simply refers to her as Noah's wife. But she made a difference! She stood by Noah when everyone else ridiculed him. She should be an encouragement to each of us. Even a 'nameless' person can make a huge difference in leaving behind a powerful legacy.

Let me encourage you with a few thoughts on legacy. And, in honor of Steve, allow me to use an acrostic.

L - We leave a legacy through the lives we LIVE.  Each of us will be remembered for how we lived. When it comes to your life, how you choose to live it, you leave it. Something will be left behind. Will you be remembered for the good you've done to bless others? Will you leave behind a good reputation? We make that choice.

E - We leave a legacy EVERYDAY. Life is made up of individual days and each day is a new opportunity to leave a legacy. Christ gave His life so that you could live each day in Him. Don't settle for less than His best for you!

G - We leave a legacy by GIVING ourselves entirely to the Word. Paul wrote to Timothy, "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all" (1 Tim 4:15).  Getting into His Word is something that cannot be neglected if we want to live and leave a rich spiritual legacy.

A - We leave a legacy by AFFIRMING God with our lives. Titus 3:8 says, "This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men."  May it never be forgotten that the way we live our lives is a testament to the One in whom we believe. Your life is a message and people are watching.  Affirm how great our God is by how you live your life!

C - We leave a legacy by being CAREFUL with our works. Look at that verse again, Paul said, "be careful to maintain good works" (Titus 3:8). Our good works are not for our profit alone, but also those around us. I love helping others. It brings me great joy to be a light in both word and deed to those in need.

Y - Christ leaves a legacy in YOU. Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7).  What Christ did for us, He desires to do through us. Do you want to great things for God? Do you want answers to prayer? Abide in Him and let His Word abide in you!

Each of us will leave a legacy and today we make the choice what that legacy will be.  I will make my life count and spend it entirely for the Lord. I trust you will as well.

Now that we have Steve's messages preserved I can rest assured knowing that not one of them will ever be lost. But that is not enough. Now I want to share them with the world! We are presently building an online archive and streaming channel that will allow these timeless services to be seen for generations to come.

This has taken countless hours and resources to accomplish. You've helped us get this far. Will you help us finish?  Last month I shared with you a matching challenge. We have yet to reach our goal of $45,000 but we are making progress. Please pray and consider being a part. Right now your gift of any amount will be doubled and bring us that much closer to fully funding this project.

In my next letter I will share some very exciting news about an open door the Lord has recently set before us to bring the Gospel into Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. Prior to Steve going to heaven, his heart was especially burdened for the Middle East. He prayed that the Lord would open up doors for us to win souls in these spiritually dark, dangerous regions. Over the last few years, we've translated some of Steve's messages into Arabic including the Serious About God website. But due to Steve's health, we were limited on what we were able to do. Now, however, the door has opened wide. Please pray for the Lord's wisdom and strategy. I can't wait to share more about this with you in my next letter!!!

Countless people need Jesus. Each one is precious to Him! Thank you for partnering with us to reach souls for Him.

We're together in the harvest,
